Leadership for Executives Requires 100% Participation!

“Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it’s the only thing.”

                                                                         Albert Schweitzer

“Eighty percent of success is showing up.”

                                                                         Woody Allen

I really like the contrast of the cerebral comment from Dr. Schweitzer and the witty approach of Woody Allen.  You’ll note that they are pointing to the same reality: we need to fully participate in the matter of our own life.  Being a spectator is sometimes fun but wholly inadequate to the challenges we face today with our families, in our workplaces and in our communities.

Long ago I identified “Participate 100%” as a key principle for success and living an extraordinary life.  It is now #6 of our Eight Power Principles for Achieving Extraordinary Success report and the foundation for much of my executive coaching and team leadership training work.

Take a look at your life and especially your work.  Are you “showing up” at 100%?  Are you contributing your unique talent and experience or are you holding back?  These are important, foundational questions.  Your family, work and the world need ALL of you!

As always, comments and questions are eagerly sought.  Let us hear from you.

With love and respect,
